Emotional distress is an inevitable part of life that we all experience in different ways. Roots Psychology Group aim to help children, young people and their families strengthen their roots to feel safe, grounded and supported so that they may grow wings to fly with confidence, strength and resilience.
We are a highly trained team of Clinical Psychologists specialising in mental health training and the assessment and therapeutic treatment of Children and Young People presenting with emotional and mental health difficulties.
We are UK approved PACE trainers by DDP Connects, trained by and in close connection with Kim Golding CBE. We offer one, two and three day teaching using the PACE approach, we also offer training, consultation and supervision to healthcare professionals, colleagues in educational settings, social care and other public sector services where we work closely with organisations to create bespoke packages tailored to their specific requirements. These range from one-off informative workshops to more ongoing packages of support to staff and parents.
We are trained to a high level, have extensive experience both in the NHS and privately and understand that clients and their families need to feel supported in a comfortable environment. We pride ourselves on our ability to connect with young people - we are creative and nurturing in our approach and form trusting relationships with our clients as well as working closely with families to ensure everyone involved works towards an achievable goal.

Our values challenge the convention on mental health
We are a young but experienced team of qualified doctors, focused on the wellbeing of children and young people. With an 'armoury' of resources and ground breaking techniques that we are able to call on and deliver with ease, we launched the Roots Psychology Group to offer something different.
We are proficient in establishing or re-establishing a child or young person's roots. We provide the tools to help them ground themselves, offering a secure environment in which to build their own unique personalities.
We then help them to reflect on their aims, desires and ambitions, bringing to life the possibility of achieving everything they wish to, with tools that enable them to explore their environment and the world around them, with confidence, safe boundaries, self-respect, and positive decision making.
