Emotional distress is an inevitable part of life that we all experience in different ways. Roots Psychology Group aim to help children, young people and their families strengthen their roots to feel safe, grounded and supported so that they may grow wings to fly with confidence, strength and resilience.

I am Dr Kate Mason, a highly trained Clinical Psychologist specialising in mental health training and the assessment and therapeutic treatment of Children and Young People presenting with emotional and mental health difficulties.

I am an approved PACE trainer, endorsed by DDP Connects. I offer high quality training using the PACE approach, and also offer training, consultation and supervision to healthcare professionals, colleagues in educational settings, social care and other public sector services, working closely with organisations to create bespoke packages tailored to their specific requirements. These range from one-off informative workshops to more ongoing packages of support to staff and parents.

I have extensive experience both in the NHS and privately and understand that clients and their families need to feel supported in a comfortable environment. I am creative and nurturing in my approach and form trusting relationships with my clients as well as working closely with families.

What my clients tell me

As a foster carer I found it so valuable to be in a room with other carers in the same situation as me, the trainer was excellent and explained everything clearly and made us all feel at ease.

Foster Carer, Lancashire

I really valued being able to give PACE a go with feedback from the trainer. I found the whole day very entertaining.

Parent, Worcester

Excellent course!  Content was completely relatable to children we foster and gives a deeper understanding of behaviour allowing for a more therapeutic way of parenting.

Adoptive Parent, Cumbria

I run regular events throughout Worcestershire and further afield, for parents, teachers and social care givers.  Find out more by contacting me today or looking through my training options.
